My WW2 german mares at Stalingrad art, Luftwaffe ground troops in blue, alongside Waffen-SS volunteers from Denmark’s Frikorps Danmark and Norway’s SS-Skijegerbataljon. While these foreign SS units didn’t fight at Stalingrad, Luftwaffe field troops did, often in desperate street battles. I just wanted to portray them as it was something different. on the Eastern Front.
