Family of lost alicorn civilization Skyros that were located somewhere beyond only founded that time new Kingdom, Equestria. They were not royal family of Skyros just an “ordinary” alicorns citizens of the flying islands.

Celestia and Luna

A little explanation what’s going here is that Skyros gets under attack by an evil sorcerer who really strong that it manages to murder almost all alicorns who lives on this mysterious flying islands. The only one who remains stay strong longer is the ruler herself and her loyal personal royal guards who goes by names Starshine and Blue Dream. While the Skyros ruler and Blue Dream were in really tough fight, Mrs. Starshine manages to sneak past the sorcerer to rescue her two little daughters - she did save them by teleporting as far as she could from they home, but at cost of her own life…

P.S. Alicorns are immortal though, the only way they can die is to be brutally killed..
