"When IceBeak moved from her home in the south pole to Mount Aris, it was a very rough transition. She was excited to see the world beyond, but her anxiety was in full force. She was leaving the familiar landscape of frozen icecaps and orca whales for somewhere that was warm, tropical, and green. What if everyone stated judging her by the way she looked or that she was a little heavier than the mainland hippogriffs? What if they don't like her frozen treats? And she won't be able to visit her aunt and uncle as easily.
Thankfully, Queen Novo was able to let Icy settle in at her own pace. Moving somewhere new can be a very scary prospect. But the Queen helped Icy and the other polar hippogriffs when she last visited them, so it was the least she could do. And Skystar seemed very excited to meet someone new. She never knew that there were hippogriffs beyond Mount Aris, and wanted to learn more about them. Still, Icy felt very nervous and scared, but in time, she would settle in.
This one felt a little more personal because I am currently in the process of moving to a new house. Moving is always something that is very emotional and stressful, especially when its somewhere you aren't too familiar with. I think we could all relate to Icy in some way..."
