This movie is so unfortunate.

You know when you watch a movie and you're like "Oh no, this is stupid...why is there so much effort in it!?"

This movie has that issue in spades. The animation is fantastic, the acting I'd dare say is better than the first movie's, and some of the set pieces are super memorable. But what in the world is up with the writing? It's so stupidly written, and the songs are downright idiotic, especially when compared to the original.

It's a sequel with a lot of effort into it, but you can tell why this one was the last "Sequel-to-a-Don-Bluth-movie" that bothered to even try. After this one it's nothing but the steepest downhill, like a hangover in your 40's.
