The programmed back story is as follows in the caves under Canterlot a strong light weight metal composite was found but removing it was far to risky, for the entire cave system was liable to collapse. the mining industry developed robots to mine it out complete with two commanders one having a mechanical mind and one with a mind of both biology and circutry as a check and balance. the machine with the biological mind became smart and greedy, this was the KrataDine. he thought the Zytanthium would be more beneficial to him and his cause. when war broke over the Zytanthium, instead of choosing a side he made his own turning the miner robots into a military force like no other. he had a larger, stronger, yet immobile body built for him and later had that one upgraded he quickly became the all powerful oppressor of the land.
