Hey everyone,

Welcome to another instalment of the "Random Character Art" series, wherein I redesign a random character from my roster that has never been depicted here before, and today it is the turn of none other than Brazen Shield!

This was an almost total redesign for this character, where the only thingsleft from her original form are her name and her horn. Everything else is new and updated.

Brazen Shield was once a resident of Canterlot, and served as a renowned Sergeant-Major of the prestigious Solar Watch division of the Royal Guard.

Now she has been honourably discharged from service on medical grounds, and is building a new life for herself in Tall Tale- a tiny and remote coastal town built on the tall basalt cliffs of Equestria’s westernmost point.

To underline just how remote this town is, they have absolutely no weather team coverage at all, and every type of weather they get is naturally formed.

It is here in this wild and untamed place of howling winds and crashing waves that she desires to find her peace, but for now she is living on her pension, and figuring out what she wants to do with the rest of her life now that she has left the military lifestyle.

Despite being nominally armed with an enchanted blade while in service, her true weapon was always her brutally efficient use of magic, and she was further specialised in taking down other unicorns through dispelling, counter-spelling, and in extreme cases, pernanently destroying the ability for said unicorns to use individual spells at all.

For a unicorn, the latter ability is seen as an absolute abominable action, and it is part of the telepathic magical discipline- a very dangerous and difficult school of magic to master, and not something used on a whim.

As a mare that has been through combat on numerous occasions, she is strong and tough, but also now a quiet and reserved lady, where once she bellowed orders in the midst of the fray. As is expected by now, she is receiving state-mandated therapy for the sake of her mental health.

She is slowly on the mend, but it is noted that while she is usually fairly patient, she does not suffer fools gladly, or even at all, really. It is the opinion of we at the Bureau that anyone that intentionally annoys her deserves what is coming to them.
