As Paige catches her breath, she peers into her charge's room and met with an eerie silence. Not a single light was one but by moonlight alone, the started maid could see that the bedroom was completely vacant... Rose was no where to be seen. The frustration that once filled Paige Miller soon faded and was instantly replaced with panic and dread.
Paige: No, she wouldn't... Not now of all times!
Victor: What was that I heard about a bastard?
Paige about leaped from her skin as she spun back to see that Victor Bates had silently snuck up behind her and is now peering inside the vacant room. Victor noticed right away the fearful expression on the housekeeper's face and his brow furrowed...
Victor: What is it? Where is Miss Quartz?
