The sharp crack of a pool cue against the cue ball could be heard over the sound of laughter, cursing, other ponies playing games, and music booming from the jukebox. Celestia watched as the cue ball raced across the green felt toward the 7 ball. The cue ball struck it and sent it toward the corner pocket. Then as if being controlled by some type arcane magic the cue ball slowly backed up toward the alicorn.

The cue ball came to a halt in front of the princess. Link The mare slowly stood up. As she did she adjusted one of the black leather strap on the harness she was wearing. The mare then reached for the bottle of beer resting on the edge of the table. After taking a long sip she rested the pool cue on her shoulder. Then she addressed the stallion standing in front of her.

“Oh I had a pool table installed in the palace oh let's see, um, uh, about a 200 years ago. So I've gotten lots of practice, but it’s more fun to play a game against another pony. However at the moment none of the Royal Guard assigned to the palace are any good at it. Same with my current cabinet. So I will slip out of the palace a few times a year to find some suitable opponents at various bars and pool halls in Canterlot."

The white alicorn arched an eyebrow and grinned. "So. Wanna play a game?"
