Description:
A long time ago, far across time and space, on the planet, Skaro. There lived two races. The dark haired Kaleds and the blonde haired Thals. For over a thousand years, these two races had been fighting eachother in a Neutronic War that caused both sides to mutate.
As the war climaxed, the chief Kaled scientist, Davros, accelerated the mutations and created a monster that would one day dominate the universe and destroy all other beings in existence, the Dalek.
Upon foreseeing the climax of the goals of the Dalek menace, the Time Lords sent one of their own, The Doctor, and his friends, Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sullivan, to Skaro at the Dalek race's beginnings to either stop their creation, alter their genetics to make them less aggressive, or discover a weakness in their makeup.
During their adventure, The Doctor and his friends would meet the Kaleds, the Thals, the first Daleks, and of course, Davros himself. And would watch and see what happened when for the first time, The Daleks were let loose into the universe around them, beginning their genocidal conquests.
So this year marks the 50th Anniversary of Genesis of the Daleks, which happens to the one of the most popular Doctor Who stories ever. And it's hard not to see why. I LOVE IT! Genesis is awesome! Because when the Daleks first appeared, they mentioned that they and the Thals fought eachother in a Neutronic War. And you start wondering "What was that like? And why did it happen?". Even though TV21 provided an account of what that was all about, that was later accepted as part of the Peter Cushing Dalek Films timeline. And then you finally find out years later about where the Daleks actually came from.
So Genesis of the Daleks is pretty hard not to like. It's an amazing story. And I really love how Terry Nation did it. Especially by furthering the Daleks' parallels to Nazis, by likening the Kaleds to them as well. And how Peter Miles likened his character to Heinrich Himmler. And while the TARDIS doesn't appear, that can easily be forgotten about.
This is probably my favorite Fourth Doctor story, in terms of writing, lore, everything. Especially since it was the events of this story that led to furture events with the Daleks in Doctor Who, such as the Movellans, the Imperial-Renegade Civil War, the Last Great Time War, and where Davros came from.
I won't lie. But during the scene where the Thal Nuke blew up the Kaled Dome, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the Kaled Race. Given how no females are gonna survive. So the Kaleds really were over. Even though the rocket was built by the Thals, it was Davros' fault for encouraging them to launch it. And Davros is by no doubt the definition of a Mad Scientist. He allowed for his race to be completely wiped out so he could have a supposed "Master Race" take their place.
So in addition to all the parallels to Nazi Germany, how it rose from a Trench War of Attrition, and everything else was pretty good. And the fact that is also represents a true story about an actual fight between good and evil. Who doesn't love a story about that?
So with all that said. Here's to fifty years of one of the greatest Doctor Who stories ever made, Genesis of the Daleks!

I wanted to put Davros in the picture, but I couldn't get a good render of him, human or pony. What ones were, I didn't think were for public use. But hey, it's good enough, right?
If you're thinking of seeing Genesis of the Daleks yourself, or even do reaction videos to it, I highly recommend you do so. You will not regret it. Here is the story itself. https://archive.org/details/genesis-of-the-daleks
