Description:
Izzy Moonbow was one of the most fun, and most challenging to draw, partially because so much of her outfit changed as the process went on. I started with one theme in mind, and it slowly evolved into something else as it went on.
Going into this, I was thinking of emphasizing the sexiness of her outfit while still keeping it creative to reflect her naturally creative and upbeat personality. I also did is as a reference to Izzy's line in the song Fit Right In "Whatch us shake our unicorn butts!". But as I continued to draw and put more detail in her design, it slowly evolved into more of an emphases on flashiness. from vibrant colors, to sparkles and glitter everywhere, and enough gems to put rarity's dresses to shame.
I didn't back down on the sexiness however, I went right in with a pair of booty shorts that, while you can see it, are revealing a lot in the backend, because I'm pretty much completely confident that she'd have know shame in strut'n what she's got. And a carnaval styled bra (which are a thing, and are absolutely gorgeous!), in the likeness of her bra, not only put plenty of cleavage on display, but looking like something she would have made herself.
The post was probably the trickiest part to get down though. I wanted to great a pose that would imply that she's bending over to shake that flank. I didn't want to make it too obvious, since it would stick out a bit too much compared to the rest of the designs I've done thus far. While I don't think I emphasized that aspect as much as I wanted too, I still managed to get something both sexy, and in character for Izzy Moonbow.
All of these aspects combined, and you can see why Izzy Moonbow was one of the trickiest to draw. Nonetheless, I wanted to do her justice since she's one of my favorite MLP characters of all time, as I see myself a lot in her, being the element of creativity. And what better way to show off that creativity in her than a outfit that's as creative as her?
