Description:
Valerie, better known by her cringeworthy alias Dragon Rose, is... definitely a teenager. She runs around with a katana, wanting to do things in the name of justice in hopes of becoming liked by others. Alongside Obassi, she was hired by Death Drive to kill Sun, but when she tried once and failed, she tried to do some soul-searching, getting some guidance from a dragon named Teide living up in the mountains around Ponyville. But soon enough, Death Drive threatened Dragon Rose into being apart of her plan again... But actually, she only contributed to Death Drive's downfall, if anything. For a while after that, she did a series of odd jobs, including witnessing firsthand Obassi's miraculously successful attempt to woo Ms. Harshwhinny while interviewing her. Later, she would find out that her mother, whose existence was kept a secret for all her life... was none other than A.K. Yearling. Ain't that just wacky? Well, even wackier: when Valerie (finally using her real name; although she took on the cute nickname Overdo while adventuring) joined Daring Do on her adventures, the latter gained respect for the former, and eventually gifted her the title of Daring Do... an almost universally disliked decision by everyone who bought the book version of that story: Daring Do and the Judgement of the 400 Northern Stars. People complained about how it was ridiculous to think that a series all about the unique protagonist could just be replaced with a less interesting and less unique one, and that "Daring Do" was never implied to be some kind of title that could be passed onto others... Yeah, if you don't know what Valerie is based on, it might become a little more obvious now. She's Viola from Bayonetta 3.
