I'd have to say that part of this song was inspired by the fanon that AJs parents have passed, an idea that was first presented to me by two of my all-time favorite musicians, Feather and Rhyme Flow in "Apples of my Eye". (www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRYasZoJJ1o) In a way, the lyrics are from a shared perspective of AJ and I.
