May 13, 1844: In Spain, the Civil Guard is founded, an armed institute of a military nature, Gendarmerie type, under the orders of the Duke of Ahumada, which replaced the National Militia.

This is the current uniform of the Civil Guard introduced in 2011 to replace the previous uniform from 1989 to 2012 where use the Teresiana cap, but the Current cap is introduced in 2014 for replace the Early Baseball cap from the 2011 uniform.
