Hey everyone,

Alright, so I've had a few days off to recuperate, and now I'm feeling pretty damn good, to be honest. Things seem to be finally looking up in my little corner of meatspace.

*** TRIGGER WARNING: DARKER THEMES AHEAD! ***

Most of you will not know this pretty and floofy character because she was featured in my very first base edit. Yes, the very first one I ever did. Since that pic was published, back in 2021, I have been looking for another Alpaca base to represent her once again. Yet it took until yesterday for me to find this one, and even better, this is MLP styled.

For the uninitiated, this is a spirit that has different names and forms from throughout Equis and its history. One of her many names is Alpacalypse- and in my AU, she represents both death and finality. She is effectively the equivalent of the Grim Reaper.

Edgy, right?

Well, the answer to that little question is actually no.

Alpacalypse is a cheerful and friendly lady, despite her eternal duty shepherding the souls of the deceased to their respective afterlife. She does not gather the lost by the icy touch of a skeletal hand or a scythe. No, for her, it is a calling that demands politeness, warmth, and her innate ability to bring consolation and understanding to hurt, angry, or confused spirits.

In the distant future, when Equis' strands of fate are finally cut, Alpacalypse knows full well that she will be there to guide the lost to the next plane of existence, for one final time, before dissipating into the ether to be reborn at some point in the far future.

She is naturally a busy character that is normally out of phase with our reality while on the job, as it were- yet, when she does find the occasional bit of free time, she spends it among the various species that live upon Equis, often as a lone but friendly traveller passing through towns and cities unnoticed.

Her physical appearance is specifically tailored to NOT be frightening, and she has a soft and motherly voice. Additionally, she is utterly incapable of harming the living, even while in our plane of reality. Her "physical" form when among the living is made of pure magical energies, and behaves much like mortal bodies do, looking and feeling as real as any pony would.

Thus, I can happily confirm for the interested few that her floof feels warm, real, and ever so comfy- and most importantly, you will not die if you cuddle with her. In this case, death's embrace is not stone cold! XD

That's all I realistically have for now regarding Alpacalypse, but more will be coming. The death, spiritual, and immortality mythos of my AU Equis and its various species is something that I really wish to expand on in the future, and interactions of Alpacalypse with both the living and the dead at different points in the timeline.
