Sapphire Star

I bring another design ref, this time of Cobalt's sister!

She is one of the children of Flash Sentry and Twilight

Sapphire is the middle child of the family and is quite an anxious mare, often having challenges with self confidence and fears of the unknown. She got her cutie mark after she created a spell that could store magic in gemstones so that, in case of magical disasters that end up in the loss of magic, some magic would still be used. Having always been especially anxious, even as a filly, her mother has taught her various ways to ease the worries she has athough her success in actually diminishing her worries varies and isn't always sound. She is incredibly close with her siblings, helping Comet with his magic and stopping her older sister from jumping into things without thinking them through, bringing up the many flaws that appear in Cobalt's plans. She rather likes studying magic, trying to live up to her mother's magical legacy, but focuses more on gem-centric spells and finding put how magical artifacts can outlast the magic that made them.
