So I watched like twenty episodes of My Little Pony Tales aka G2 aka G1.5 and to my surprise discovered that for an old pony show, that existed mostly to sell toys, all it's characters had some thought out different family situations and not just the typical "mom+dad+maybe a little brother for a babysitting episode". Props to the writers.
