After collecting the coal, the friends arrived at Muffle Mountain. While, Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow, Pinkie and Fluttershy go with Lily to find her Grandpa (Burnett Stone), Spike, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo stay back with Thomas. However, little do they know that PT Boomer (Burnett's rival) is also on the mountain... And then, something terrible happens!

Thomas, Spike and the girls emerge out of a mountain and into the real world

Thomas: Lily, where are we?!

Spike: What is this place?!

Lily: Muffle Mountain, boys!

Fluttershy: Oh, my goodness!

Pinkie: It's so green!

Rarity: And so big!

They look at the landscape around them, just as Lily and the Mane Six disembark

Scootaloo: How are you holding up, Tom-boy?

Thomas: I think I feel a...a little dizzy. I can't go any further! My wheels won't let me!

Lily: Then, I'll be back, Thomas! I promise! But I must find Grandpa!

He then pressed down on the detonator, which causes a huge explosion! Back on the ledge, Thomas, Spike and the fillies were very startled!

Spike: Spooked GAH!

Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo: In fright What was that?!

The explosion was so powerful that it jolts Thomas and his friends off the mountain!

Thomas: As he and his friends start rolling down the mountain OH! BUST MY BOILE-E-E-ER!

Spike: HE-E-E-E-E-ELP!

Apple Bloom: APPLEJACK!

Sweetie Belle: RARITY!

Scootaloo: RAINBOW DASH!

Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo: HELP US!

Boomer watches on in evil delight. Meanwhile, the Mane Six were running after Lily, but frozen a upon hearing the explosion

Twilight: Sweet Celestia!

Applejack: What in tarnation was that?!

Fluttershy: That sounded like a explosion!

Pinkie: It sounded like it came from...!

Suddenly, the girls realise and gasp in horror!

Applejack: *In horror APPLE BLOOM!

Rarity: In horror as well SWEETIE BELLE! SPIKEY-WIKEY!

Rainbow: In pure horror SCOOTALOO!

Twilight: Also in horror THOMAS!

Fluttershy: Horrified HOLD ON!

The six mares start running back the way they came. Meanwhile, Thomas, Spike and the Crusaders were rolling down the mountain

Thomas: Blowing his whistle in panic WE'VE LEFT THE COAL TRUCK BEHIND!

Spike: Holding onto the control for dear life SOMEPONY DO SOMETHING!

Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo: Screaming their heads off

Meanwhile, Lily came across Patch who was riding his horse

Lily: Where's Grandpa? Can you take me to him?

Patch: Jump up.

Lily: Sighs in relief Patch, I knew I could count on you.

Back with the Mane Six, they reach the ledge where the truck is still standing. They then looked down to see Thomas, Spike and the CMC racing down the mountain

Twilight: GUYS!

Pinkie and Fluttershy: HOLD ON!

Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow: WE'LL SAVE YOU!

They start running down the mountain as fast as they could. However, it looks like it's no use as the tank engine, dragon and fillies already have a head start

Thomas: STOP, WHEELS! STO-O-O-OP!

Scootaloo: SPIKE! DO SOMETHING!

Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle: MAKE THOMAS STOP!

Spike: I CAN'T! THERE AREN'T ANY RAILS!

Then, they notice PT Boomer coming after them!

Spike, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo: All scream in horror and fright DARK STRANGER ON OUR TAILS!

Just then, as they rolled across a field, a magical rainbow portal opened up in the ground!

Thomas, Spike, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo: As they go through the portal WHOA!

Boomer jumped off his motorcycle and followed them down. By the time Twilight and the other had reached the field, all they see is a cloud of steam

Fluttershy: Horrified Oh, no...

Twilight: Horrified Oh, no-no-no-no-no, Oh, no...

Pinkie: Horrified This can't be...

Applejack: The most horrified Apple Bloom...

Rarity: The most horrified Sweetie Belle... Spikey-wikey...

Rainbow: The most horrified Scootaloo...

Twilight: Still horrified* Thomas...

Fluttershy: Leaking tears They're...gone...

Pinkie: Voice breaking They're...really gone...

The girls start breaking down, thinking that they've lost their friends...forever...

Applejack: Leaking tears We've lost our sisters...

Rarity: Weeping And my dragonfriend...

Twilight: Crying And our number one engine friend...

Rainbow: Sniffing as she wipes some tears away Mom and Dad are gonna freak when they find out I've lost my little sister...

Fluttershy: Crying softly Oh, Thomas, Spike, girls... How ever are we going to tell the others about this...?

Meanwhile, on another branch of the Magic Railroad, Thomas, Spike and the girls are puffing along. Luckily for them, the tracks ahead of them carried on the rest of the way

Apple Bloom: Scared and upset I don't like this... I wanna go home...

Sweetie Belle: Scared I don't think that we'll ever get home...

Scootaloo: Upset Here are we in a unknown place and we don't know where we are... And neither does anypony else... We'll never see our sisters and families again...

Spike: Sad And I'll never see my marefriend Rarity again... Or Twilight... Or anypony else...

Spike and the Crusaders start leaking tears. Despite feeling scared and worried, Thomas tried to comfort his friends

Thomas: Guys...I know that this is scary....but, we have to stay strong. As Mr. C said we're Really Useful and we'll find a way. Perhaps, if we follow this line, it might lead us back to Sodor.

Spike: I hope you're right, Thomas...

Sweetie Belle: Well, at least we lost that stranger who was chasing us...

Apple Bloom: I hope so...

Scootaloo: He looked so mean and nasty...

The friends continued on down the Magic Railroad. However, they didn't notice PT Boomer had recently entered and was floating in midair while sitting down a far distance behind the tank engine, dragon and fillies...

Headcanon:

The events of Season 8-9 (With the exception of The Washouts and Best Gift Ever) of MLP and Rainbow Roadtrip are not canon.

Scootaloo gets adopted get Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles after her original parents and two aunts pass away.

Pear Butter and Bright Mac are alive.
