Description:
Coco Pommel stood in front of a full-length mirror in her hotel room and critically examined the garment she was wearing in Royal Equestria Security Forces (RESF) dreamscape. The form-fitting black catsuit definitely flattered her figure but still she scowled at it. Lifting her gaze she stared at the reflection of Rarity in the mirror and spoke.
"So.... This is what you were working on for me during our recent downtime?
Rarity was standing behind her favorite sniper. Rarity had arrived that morning in Del Mare with the gear that Coco would need for her upcoming op.
>>3322687s Along with the equipment the earth pony had requested there had been an opaque garment bag that held the outfit that Coco was now wearing. Although Rarity was Coco's superior officer the earth pony could see the fashionista's desire and need for validation of her latest creation from her subordinate. The unicorn nodded her head vigorously.
"Yes darling top secret!"
Coco turned and looked at herself sideways in the mirror. "It's rather snug...." She finally said.
"Yes dear. Replied Rarity. It's body conforming nature is designed to reduce the chance of the garment snag on objects during operation."
The earth pony turned around and looked at her back side in the mirror. "And it's shiny black because...."
"Oh! Um! The black color is strictly a result of it being an experimental, prototype material! In the future once mass production has been established it should be available in other colors, but at the moment Twilight say's that black with a gloss finish is the most stable chemically and magically. Also in low light conditions it does bestow the wearer certain camouflage benefits!"
Coco made a mental note to ask Twilight personally if the choice of color was true. Turning around she slightly cocked her hips. "I will say this. It's more comfortable than I originally expected."
Rarity smiled. "Yes darling! The material designed to be comfortable under a wide range of temperatures and humidity."
The ivory white mare ran her right hand up and down on of her hips. "And you say this material is suppose to be durable enough for extended field operations?
"Yes darling! It's very abrasion and highly tear resistant to cuts, and while it's breathable it also possesses excellent waterproof properties. It's highly flame resistant, and Twilight says that material offers a minimal level of protection against force bolts from unicorns. She hopes to improve that feature in future iterations of the material."
The earth pony turned and did a high kick then proceeded to do several stretching exercises. Close quarter fighting was not Coco's area of expertise, but the mare still did practice it routinely. "Hmm. It doesn't seem to restrict my movement much."
Rarity's mane bobbed up and down as the mare once again nodded her head. "Exactly darling! The material is designed to permit its wearer to maintain the maximum level of movement and flexibility."
Coco turned around looked her superior officer directly in the eyes. "And will other RESF personnel in this upcoming operation be wearing their own variants of this new outfit?"
The earth pony watched as a slight blush spread across the white unicorn's face. Rarity started fidgeting side to side while twiddling her thumbs. After a few seconds she finally spoke.
"Ah! Well! Um, uh, no! No they won't! I was unable ttoooo obtain adequate quantities of the material to permit me to, um fabricate additional uniforms for them. Bbbeesssides they did not have high enough security clearance to wear these garments at this time. Sssooo, for this operation you'll be the only operative wearing this top secret outfit."
For the next 30 seconds the earth pony just stared at the unicorn. Finally she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then she opened them and spoke. "Fine, but you owe me a dinner after this."
Rarity clutched her hands together. "Deal!"
