Why Am I Crying? Chapter 11: Sweetie Belle 4

This chapter is about Diamond's Funeral Service and very, very sad ponies.

Oh my gosh, it took me a loooooong time to come up with a good composition for this piece. I knew I wanted to include the CMC at the funeral but I was on the fence of painting Diamond in her casket or Diamond being out of eye-sight and painting the casket. I eventually settled on an isometric view so the lid of the casket is out of the way of Diamond's face but it left a lot of negative space where there was nothing, so I pulled the camera angle back and included little Silver Spoon to round up the composition. This illustration took me ~26 hours!
