(Later in Ponyville, Melody converses with Darby about what she just witnessed)

Melody Everbelle: Pixie mentioned about this counselor she used to have named Sorine. Apparently, she abused her and other clients. But Regina tried to destigmatize her experiences by telling her she wasn't that bad, and that she didn't sympathize with her.

Darby: Seriously? That's not what you should say to somepony who's gone through a traumatic event.

Melody Everbelle: Exactly. I wish I could have done something to stand up to Regina... :( (Sad)

Darby: Hey, it's not your fault you couldn't do anything about it. Regina is just the way she is.

Melody Everbelle: You're right, Darby. Regina doesn't really care about most ponies, she just wants them to suffer.

(Suddenly, Pixie Crystal shows up)

Melody Everbelle: Oh look, it's Pixie! Here she comes.

Pixie Crystal: Hi, guys.

Melody Everbelle: Pixie, I saw what happened at the TAY program between you and Regina earlier, and I just want to say that I'm sorry I couldn't stand up for you.

Pixie Crystal: It's okay, Melody. At least I have somepony who actually cares.

Melody Everbelle: And Darby and I want to tell you that no matter what happened, your feelings are completely valid, and nopony has the right to tell you otherwise.

Pixie Crystal: Thanks, you guys. :) (Smile)

Melody Everbelle: By the way, what about Casper and Racket? Do they know about your history with Sorine?

Pixie Crystal: Probably, but I don't think that's something they want to talk about.

Darby: Fair enough.

Regina Rose: Ugh, OMG, Pixie, what did I say about hanging out with these ponies? They're bad influences, remember?

Pixie Crystal: But, Regina, I...

Melody Everbelle: (to Regina) How about you leave her alone and let her hang out with whoever she wants?

Regina Rose: Oh, if it isn't, the Princess of Dreams. How surprising, I should have known you've gone to the TAY program.

Melody Everbelle: Really? You've been to TAY longer than I have, and you haven't acknowledged my existence until now?

Darby: Now, you guys, let's not fight over this. There are plenty of ways to solve this, am I right? Sweating a little...

Regina Rose: Buck off, Darby, this is nopony's business but ours.

Darby: gasps

Regina Rose: And what about you, Pixie? Which side are you on, the princesses or mine?

Pixie Crystal: Well, if I had to choose...

Darby and Melody Everbelle: gulp

Pixie Crystal: ... it's them.

Darby and Melody Everbelle: gasp

Regina Rose: What? We've been friends for so long, but now you want to be friends with these ponies?!

Pixie Crystal: Regina, look. Throughout our friendship, I've done nothing but be a good friend to you, and yet, you failed to do the same. Not only that, you treated me as if I was some sort of puppet for your own entertainment.

Melody Everbelle: She did not...

Darby: (to Melody) Hush.

Pixie Crystal: You would put me down whenever I tried to stand up for myself. I really thought this was what friendship truly meant until Darby and Melody proved me otherwise.

Regina Rose: But I...

Pixie Crystal: I'm sorry, Regina, but I'd rather be friends with somepony who truly understands me than one who takes the teachings of her former mentor to be cruel and unkind. And before you ask, you're very much welcome.

Regina Rose: But, Pixie, I... ugh! (runs off)

Darby and Melody Everbelle: Whoo-hoo!

Melody Everbelle: You did it, Pixie!

Pixie Crystal: Did what?

Darby: You did something that Melody and I thought you wouldn't do, which was standing up for yourself.

Pixie Crystal: I did?

Darby: Yeah! If anything, that is something to be proud of.

Melody Everbelle: Never apologize for what you believe in, Pixie. You did the right thing.

Pixie Crystal: Well, if that's the case, then... Thanks. You both taught me a lot about friendship and what it truly means.

Darby: You can thank Twilight Sparkle for that.

Melody Everbelle: (bumps her wing onto Darby's side)

Darby: Hey, what was that for?

Pixie Crystal: So, I do want to ask the both of you... How did you get into Ponyville's TAY program?

Darby: It's a long story...

Melody Everbelle: ... But we can tell you all about it when we hang out at the arcade.

Pixie Crystal: That's really awesome! Wanna be friends?

Darby and Melody Everbelle: Friends 'till the end!

(The three ponies give each other a high-five)
