Description:

"It's snowing!"
Minty exclaimed as she ran up the hill, a pair of purple mares following close behind.

"Minty, it's been snowing for the past few days..."
Kimono smirked with a tilted head, finding Minty's excitement amusing.

"Yeah, but that doesn't make it any less exciting! Winter is the best!"

"I'm more excited for the end of winter... I- I don't know if you ponies have this, but us Pegasi have this holiday at the end of winter called Yukuria which I'm excited for..."
Starsong mentioned as she set the picnic blanket underneath the tree, Kimono being the first to sit down on it as she looked at the other pony with curiosity.

"Yukaria? What's it about?"

"Well," Starsong began, "since we were able to fly and control the weather before magic disappeared, we have this belief that our ancestors- the ponies that could control the weather- still do as spirits. Yukuria is when we celebrate the end of snowfall so we can travel and grow crops safely again without the threat of blizzards or avalanches, so it's said that the first Yukuria was actually a ritual done during a blizzard to stop the snow and the ancestors heard us and removed the blizzard clouds for us!"

"Fascinating... I think there used to be a similar tradition back in Ancient Equestria. Hearth's Warming, If I remember correctly..."
Kimono uttered, trying to dig through her memory with an excited grin.

"Is that so? Makes you think..."
The Pegasus hummed as she looked over to Minty, who was distracted by playing in the snow.
"I wonder what else we have in common..."
