On the night of Nightmare Night.
The children come out to play trick or treat.
Candy is ripe and ready for the harvest.
Save for a glass of warm apple cider.

The frightening displays and ghoulish lights
Line the houses with spooky appeal in Ponyville.
Costumes, laughter and joy fill the night.
As a the cold of night settles on the residents.

However, several stories surround one figure.

This figure is known as Nightmare Moon.
The Princess of the night and darkness.
The reaper herself is ready to begin the harvest

Stories talk of children disappearing in the night.
Captured by the evil Princess herself.
The Princess feeds on small children.
Gobbled up and swallowed down in one gulp.
The belly of the Princess was satisfied those nights.

A group of disobedient children.
Went to an old cemetery's crypt to play
As some time went by.
They noticed an adult silhouette walking towards them.

This night though, Nightmare Moon came as Luna.
Cornering helpless children that played at an old crypt.
A place forbidden by their parents.
Disobedience leads to trouble.
And trouble they have found.
Luna, darkness incarnate.
The reaper of death.
The inheritor and keeper of dreams.
Corners the children with scythe in hand.
Were they about to be eaten?
Sliced in two?
Or blasted with powerful magic?
She began casting her dark magic.
Spelling the end for the helpless children.
They cried and begged for mercy and forgiveness.
This was the end for them.

NAY!

Luna was there to fix a statue they knocked over by accident and to give the kids a message this moment.

"Hey uh....you guys aren't supposed to be here. Like....this is a crypt I'm guarding so uh......please go back home or I'll be forced to safely take you home...(I suck at this...).

Surprised, baffled, bojangled and hobnobbined.
The kids assumed the worse for nothing.
The Princess of the night has assured their safety.
The children were never in any danger.
She just likes being alone and is terrible with kids.
Back to Ponyville they were safely taken.
No longer fearing the introverted Luna.
As they urged her to stay and play.
She couldn't make up an excuse.
Showing kindness to the cute children.
The quiet Princess obliged and they played together.
Until curfew hit to end their time.
Hugs were given to the Princess of the night.
Which caused her to teleport faster than Goku's Instant Transmission back to the castle.
The children giggled as their warm hugs bring the dark Princess closer to hanging out with them more.
