The day after the "Wonderbolt Junior Showcase"...

Helios woke up in his childhood bedroom at his parent's house. He made his bed and trotted downstairs to join his family at the breakfast table.
Dove and Snow Storm are eating and discussing at the table while Cloud Chaser and Thunderlane are chatting quietly at the kitchen counter.
Cloud Chaser stops to look up at Helios entering the room.

Cloud Chaser: Look who finally decided to grace us with their presence.

Dove: Another thirty minutes and I would have had to come and get you.

Helios: Well good morning to you as well, darn.

He was obviously irritated by all this attention. He opens the fridge and closes it right after without having found anything to eat inside. He sits at the table and grabs some toast.

Thunderlane: At what time are you two leaving again?

Dove: Our train to Manehattan is departing this afternoon, at something like.. 4 P.M. I think.

Snow Storm: This soon?! Can't you stay a little longer pleeaaaase! It gets so boring here without you!

Dove: Calm down Frosty, we'll be back soon enough you'll see!

Cloud Chaser: What do you mean it gets boring you rascal, Dad and I can hang out with you if you want!

Snow Storm: Uuuuggh, I know but it's not the saaame...

Cloud Chaser: Do you hear that Thunder? The kid thinks we're lame! I can't believe it...

Thunderlane: You break my old little heart kiddo...

The whole family laughs and chats loudly around the table.
Helios is having a hard time enjoying his toast with all this noise and movement around him, he gets up and simply says that he's going out for some fresh air.

Cloud Chaser: Why does this kid have to be such a Debbie downer *she sighs* Who wants more toast?

Snow Storm: Can I get more jam as well?

Thunderlane: You might want to slow down on the sugar Frosty...

Helios starts walking around the neighborhood aimlessly when he starts feeling raindrops. He doesn't even have time to look for refuge before the rain starts pouring. He runs inside the closest open shop completely soaked.
Turns out, he made it to the Sugarcube corner. The famous party planner and baker Pinkie Pie is standing behind the counter.

Helios: Good morning, I apologize for barging in like that. I was hoping to wait inside until the rain calms down if that's alright.

Pinkie Pie: Oh sure thing sugar cube! Don't worry about it, you can go sit at the table next to the window over there.

Helios: Thank you, thank you very much, madam.

Pinkie Pie: Ha! No need to be so formal kid, you can call me Pinkie!

Helios: Oh hum... alright... Pinkie.

He knew who she was, he felt weird calling such a famous mare by her name right after meeting her but whatever... he trots to the table Pinkie pointed out only to find two fillies waiting there as well. From the looks of it, they got caught in the rain just like him.
As he got closer he recognized Skyler from the day before. She was with a friend whom he's never seen before. Skyler looked up as she heard Helios' footsteps.

Skyler: Oh hi mister...... hum...

Helios: Helios.

Skyler: Right, Mister Helios. Sorry, I'm... bad with names.

Helios: Don't worry about that, it's fine. Congratulations on your performance yesterday, I'm not well versed in flying technics but even I have to admit that what you accomplished was impressive.

Skyler: Thank you, sir.

There's a moment of akward silence until Pound Cake arrives with warm chocolate milk.

Pound Cake: Here, it's on the house. Pinkie said we wouldn't want any of you to get sick from the rain so... Enjoy!

Skyler: Oh, okay. Thank you very much!

Helios: Thank you.

Eris: Free chocolate milk?! Great! Thank you, sir!

Skyler: Ah, right! I apologize for my rudeness Mister Helios. I haven't introduced you to my friend, here is Eris.

Eris: Nice to meet you, sir!

Skyler: And Eris this is Mister Helios. He's coach Thunderlane's son.

Helios: Hi, nice to meet you.

Eris: I've never seen you in Ponyville before, do you live around here?

Helios: I live in Manehattan with my sister but the rest of my family resides not too far from here. *mumbles* I hope the rain won't last for hours because I have a train to catch to go back home this afternoon.

Eris: You live in Manehattan? *she whispers to Skyler* Auntie Applejack says that only rich snobs live there...

Helios: What's that?

Skyler: Eris says that you must be a rich snob because you live in Manehattan. *She says with a straight face*

Eris: *gasps* SKYLER! Why would you say that!?

Helios: *snorts* Hahahaha!

Eris: Sorry, sorry, sorry

Helios: Hah, it's fine kid. Really.

Eris: ...So are you rich?

Skyler: Oh lord, Eris you can't ask people if they're rich.

Eris: *rolls eyes* Uuugh fine, what do you do for a living sir?

Skyler: Unbelievable....

Helios: *giggles* You're awfully curious miss. But if you must know, I work for a company; EOS. We experiment with renewable energies for a better and cleaner tomorrow. At least that's what the sign on our building says.

Eris: Sound boring...

Helios: It is. For the most part. But we still get to do something meaningful to help ponies all around the country, so you know... It's good enough.

Skyler looks at him, pensive.
Pinkie Pie pops back behind the counter, Helios looks up to her.

Helios: Hi, mada/ I mean hum... Pinkie Pie! Would you mind bringing me and the kids cupcakes? I didn't get to eat anything this morning, I'm starving.

Pinkie Pie: 3 cupcakes, coming right up!

Eris: *whispers to Skyler* Free chocolate milk and a cupcake? Best day ever!

Pinkie Pie comes back with 3 delicious-looking cupcakes, Helios pays for it all. They enjoy the sugary treats together. Skyler seems to be lost in her thoughts and Eris is too focused on chomping her cupcake.
Finally, the rain starts to die down.

Helios: Well this was nice, I'm going to head out. thank you for the chat. Take care girls!

As he was stepping out of the SugarCube Corner Helios hears some tiny footsteps behind him.

Skyler: Mister Helios!

Helios: *looks back* Skyler?

Skyler: I... Do you-your company, do you take interns?

Honeycrisp will make her entrance in the story soon, I promise : )
