i notice a lot of people not really taking into account common design traits when doing species swaps of mlp characters or making designs in general and it is a little disappointing. not every pony is going to fit in exactly with other members of their species but it is something to consider with me at least.

party trick's design was derivative/inspired by trixie lulamoon, starlight glimmer & fleur de lis most importantly. the unicorns i like the most in the show generally have motifs of regality and/or talents in performance, learning magic or creating. ive also noticed a lot of unicorns have long hair that curls/swoops, i wanted to give her some bouncy curls reminiscent of sweetie belle's hairstyle! i am also more partial towards cool-toned unicorns (purple-cyan) and derived some inspiration from those design aspects as well as unicorn hair often being two/multi-toned or having some sort of gradient ie. starlight glimmer, princess cadence & twilight.

i imagine her lifestyle being oriented towards performance, whose magic entertainment shows are similar to that of firework shows, with occasional lighthearted pranking & illusionary

candy floss' design was heavily inspired by bifröst specifically, and other ponies such as rainbowshine & cloud chaser. a lot of pegasi have sporty-straight/wavy updo hairstyles so i gave her a thick ponytail to simulate a cloud, which is also where the name "candy floss" comes from! candy floss or cotton candy is sort of cloud like which i thought was fitting so i incorporated it into her design, as well as cotton candy often coming in colors of pink blue and yellow, which is obviously befitting of pinkie pie so it just made sense to me.....

i dont really have much of an idea towards what pinkie pie's lifestyle as a pegasus would be like, i imagine she would still be a confectionary manufacturer but in cloudsdale? i also imagine her flight skills/speed being below average, as such she only bounces, floats, or drifts around.........
