Background:

When she was young, Night Light and her father Ahuizotl, trekked the lands and never stayed in one place. At the time she didn’t understand it, but it seemed like her father was running away - whether it be his past or something else. Night Light never knew her birth mother - the only leads being that they were an earth pony. One fateful night a stallion came upon them and took them in; an old partner of her father’s named Dr. Caballeron. Running was something Night Light was used to, but a home was what she wanted the whole time...and another parent.

Night Light is an adventurer and does a lot of her stalking at night when the moon is out. She enjoys trekking the jungle and finding the occasional tomb to raid. The mare is a predator by heart and hunts quite often, being compared to a dark panther striking fear within the creatures of the jungle. The light at the end of her tail can attract an unsuspecting creature to their doom... Even though her mom is a pony, she is very much an ahuizotl. Her heart belongs to the rivers and jungle.

As of now, she is still raidin’ tombs and gettin’ that booty. The ahuizotl has some rare and precious items at her disposal. She is also trying to find her mother, on and off. Speaking is not something she does often and you're more likely to find a cave of blood jewels than get her to say more than five words to you.

Relationships:

Ahuizotl: As a child her father’s mind was always somewhere else, and didn’t give her as much attention as she would have liked. Night Night never delved on it because the moment she thought how little she felt connected to him they would be moving. When they finally settled with Dr. Caballeron, Ahuizotl finally had time for his daughter. Night Light and him were never close and she still doesn’t know what to think of him. On one hand, she is proud of her heritage and loves the ahuizotl blood running through her veins, on the other… Their species were never known for family friendly fathers. Night Light would sneak out of their home to explore alone a lot as a teen, coming in before the sun rose above the horizon.

In reality Night Light thinks her dad is full of shit and talks too much. Too much words and not enough action.

Dr. Caballeron: The stallion was always there for her, and Night Light considers him more of a father figure. He was the one who took her to fairs, or made her a cake for her birthdays. He was a criminal but not to Night Light. He was nothing but sweet and loving towards her, even though she wasn’t his.

Deaglan: One night the two met on a flowing stream; it was a full moon and the water was glittering like merpony scales. It was a beautiful night and the ahuitzotl herself couldn't deny it. The zepony was gathering herbs that grew by this specific stream, but didn’t know that he was trespassing in Night Light’s territory. Or did he?

A girl!! Well, more like a grown ass adult, lol. I’m sorry she took forever to show but I did have trouble writing things down for her. I didn’t want to make her a carbon copy of her dad.

Night Light never had many friends (living in the jungle and being home-schooled will do that) but she has always been fine just by her lonesome. She sleeps a lot anyways, lol.

I feel like Ahuizotl himself wouldn’t make a good dad. He’s not bad but he lacks the skills and emotional range to raise a child with pony blood, even if said blood doesn’t show up much in her phenotype. Male ahuizotl are a lot like male lions in terms of being mostly aloof.

I do got some ideas how how she’s going to meet some of my next gens but it’s the execution that needs to be done right...At the end of the day her stories will probably revolve around a small amount of ponies. Her fur is super short, like a doberman's.

Luz de Noche means night light in Spanish :) She mostly prefers the Common (English) version, even though it isn't as scary as her father would like her name to really be. Night Light was actually a character from a long time ago when I started next gens but I never introduced her, I think.

Also, Deaglan is the son of Zecora and Rockhoof.
