We journey beyond the familiar planes of Equestria, to an alternate dimension where Nightmare Moon rules supreme. Having vanquished her sister Celestia to the moon and plunged the world into eternal night, Nightmare Moon spends her time ruling the kingdom like the monarch she is. Enforcing law and punishment to the dissident ponies who have yet to submit to her rightful rule.

And tonight of... well tonight, marks the time of her return. And to commemorate the occasion, Rarity has a lovely gift for her...

Sweetie Belle: "So, uh... How exactly am I going to get back at my sister, princess?"

Nightmare Moon: "You may lack a Cutie Mark as of now, but a filly such as yourself has potential to serve me as one of my personal guard. With time and proper guidance, you will be powerful enough to even put your own sister in her place."

Sweetie Belle: "But... Why do you want to help me?"

Nightmare Moon: (she pauses, sighs and looks away) You remind me of myself. A burden... Cast aside... banished to the moon by your loved one... (she turns to look at Sweetie Belle and smiles) We have a lot in common you and I..."

This is probably one my darkest Nightmare's Gobbles comics yet ^; Poor Sweetie Belle... Who knew Rarity would be evil enough to give up her own sister in order to move further up the social ladder? Guess living in Nightmare Equestria can bring out the worst in anypony, am I right? ^{; ;}

Well, Nightmare Moon isn't wicked enough to let good ponies go to waste. She may have better use for Sweetie Belle other than just mane decoration.
