Some really messy doodles in between schoolwork that I decided to color, might as well do a mini headcanon on these girls!
Scootaloo is the shortest of the CMC. She was born prematurely and abandoned by her birthmother (who she still doesn't know). She has a rare pegasus case called "Dwarfed Wings," which makes it impossible, if not very difficult to fly. At most, she can hover and glide.
Given that she's an orphan, she had no one in her life who was willing or able to treat her disability. It is curable, though. Alicorn and unicorn magic has come far enough to treat such matters, but it's recommended to improve the situation through physical therapy. Once she's old enough, Scootaloo starts strengthening her wings. Eventually, she's pretty much built on muscle, and her flight improves greatly. She becomes an average flier at best, but is more than happy with her ability to finally fly.
Scootaloo never flies or competes with the Wonderbolts, but she's an "honorary" member. This may be due to her connection with Rainbow Dash... but either way, she did earn her spot in the rankings. She studied the Wonderbolt technique so avidly when she was younger that she's eligible to teach young students, despite never actually being able to demonstrate the flying patterns and actions. However, this is more of a hobby for her and she's only called in as a substitute teacher of sorts.
Scootaloo is a professional stunt artist who specializes in high speed scootering. While Rainbow Dash does race-flying competitions, Scootaloo is racing on her scooter. She wins every time, too, and participates in the Equestrian-equivalent to the Olympics. Given her bravery, she's a stunt double in movies who'll perform just about any trick needed.
Scootaloo is adopted into the Dash family after many years of being an orphan. The home she returns to is in Cloudsdale with Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles. That is, until she starts dating Rumble. They never officially get married, but they are practically an unbreakable couple.
Sweetie Belle is the younger sister of popular fashionista Rarity. She's always had a lot to live up to, which she hated a ton growing up. She always felt neglected and overlooked by her older sister, and they didn't really have a close bond during Sweetie's teenage years. They are sisters, though, and eventually make amends. While they're not the closest pair of siblings, they do love each other.
Sweetie Belle is a famous pop star and actress. Her voice is the "next best thing," and like many Equestrian pop stars, she doubles as an actress in famous movies. Usually, her roles involve cameos and the occasional love interest, but she's also starred in many movies as the main role. She's very famous, which leads her into a world of modeling and collabing with other artists. She's worked with Countess Coloratura and Songbird Serenade, and honestly, the world of fame is perfect for her.
She and Babs Seed exchanged letters for years, to a point where Sweetie Belle would panic and cry when she stopped hearing from her. The two met up in person almost a decade later, and it didn't take long for them to become a couple.
Apple Bloom is the tallest of the CMC, and by far the most muscular. She works on the Apple Farm alongside her siblings and has a knack for building and constructing. She's married to her high school girlfriend, Diamond Tiara. Even though she's rather good at building, it's not really her "special talent." The heart in her cutie mark symbolizes her open mind.
The CMC do end up "separating" when they're older to find their own paths, but that doesn't mean their friendship is broken. Not at all. They regularly meet up by their old treehouse to discuss how things are going and have dinner get togethers and dumb slumber parties all the time, or at least, whenever they can. They still help young ponies discover their talents, too, but mainly focus on their careers. Their bond could never be broken.
