>Twilight turns to the Pegasus in charge, "I apologize but I have something vital to attend to," before spreading her wings and flying off to the castle.
Gem flaps over to you, having received an apple from somewhere.
As the armored pegasi continue to pull their friends from the wreckage you watch their leader wander toward a near by tree. The mare reaches out her hoof and begins running it along the bark as if she's fascinated by it.
>"Who are they?" Gem asks.
"No idea"
You observe the mare.

You both wander closer to the mare as she inspects the tree. Eventually one of her mares in the armor lands behind her.
>The armored mare behind her asks, "Ma'am, are we really just going to take the alicorn at her word? I've seen ghouls and mutants here."
>Without taking her eyes off of the tree, Stratus answers "We're home petty officer Skyline, this is either the past or we've met our eternal reward for a lifetime of servitude."
>"Ma'am, we all saw the chronometers' readings, we kept jumping further and further into the future. whenever something else entered the vortex after us. And I doubt that in the afterlife I would have my eyes poked out by a mare ransacking all of our MREs just to steal the First Stike bars from them with her mirelurk hybrid friend!"

>"They!.. Yes they did, and I admit it was miraculous, but seeing Hoofington burned, 96 destroyed. If we died our Cloudship shouldn't have come with us."

The armored pegasus rolls her eyes and begins walking off, but upon seeing you she stops.
>Scrunching her nose end squinting her eyes the mare maliciously barks, "Away from us Mutant filth! Keep your tainted DNA away from us!"
