I think the group is a mix between bananarama and jem. the bananarama group is one of the most famous of the 80s, and they were formed in 1981, the jems which have a very similar style to dreamland and are produced by a collaboration between Hasbro and Sunbow in 1985. so I think it is a mix between them. or it could just be a stereotype group based on the 80s. i tried to look for the album cover that is seen when sunny and minty meet for the first time, because it reminds me of some album cover, but i couldn't find anything. zooming in on the frame where you see the back of the cd, you can see that this is the first disc and it has 6 songs, if it could be useful for someone who would like to try to find the origin of the citation on the cd.
