Valkyrie is the counterpart to Calliope, when a foal is born Calliope will pluck a star from the night sky to be their spirit, who they will be and their cutie mark and then when they die Valkyrie will take their spirit and twist it back into a star and return it to the sky so that they may watch over their loved ones.

She leaves most of the ruling of Equuis to her brother, sister and the royal family that is in power there. She is very rarely seen but does make a rare appearance once in a while. She is content just hearing Calliope's escapades when she takes her walks among their ponies.
