Opaline mentions in Make your Mark, that she rescued Misty when she was a filly. But what if that was most likely a fabricated lie in order to manipulate Misty into being her servant and devotee? In truth, the alicorn invaded Misty's home, killed her parents in cold blood, and sung her a magical lullaby to create a false memory.
