Story - Windy Whistles and Pear Butter: Friends or Foes?

Summary: Applejack is taking her mother with her so they can visit a neighborhood in Birmingham called Norwood and at the same time, Rainbow is also taking her mother into the same neighborhood. However, when the mothers start seeing each other, Rainbow and Applejack sense that both Windy Whistles and Pear Butter are friends and rivalries with each other much like themselves.

"So nice that you would take me with you, my dear daughter." Pear Better told Applejack, as she really appreciates her daughter taking her with her along the way.

"No problem, mother."' Applejack replied back, smiling back at Pear Butter, knowing it is fun when ponies as mother-and-daughter bond come in handy during adventures. "I always love it when we stay together, which makes up feel stronger every day, and every night."

Applejack and her mother, Pear Butter, are in Norwood, a neighborhood in Birmingham, Alabama. Pear Butter was hearing the birds chirping and whistle while seeing the beautiful sunshine in the sky.

"Learning about this neighborhood in Alabama makes me wanna get more information about this city." Applejack told her mother, as she has been in the neighborhood in Birmingham before up until now, hoping she can study about Norwood soon. "It seems fine with me, I guess." Pear Butter responded, as she was feeling the same way as Applejack.

"Do you believe there's a house around this place we can stay in?" Applejack asked Pear Butter, wondering which house within the neighborhood fits best for the two can live in together.

"Hmm, let me think on that." Pear Butter replied, taking her daughter's question into her own hooves, and decide where in the neighborhood they can find the right house.

On the other hand, Rainbow Dash was with her mother, Windy Whistles, appearing from another sidewalk far away from Applejack and Pear Butter. They both are also visiting the same neighborhood in Alabama as the other two are, which they aren't clearly aware of.

"I'm so glad you took me with you, Rainbow!" Windy Whistles told Rainbow Dash, as she was already excited and almost looked like she was gonna cry in happiness that her daughter took her along the journey. "An adventure with a mother-and-daughter relationship is definitely the perfect choice, wouldn't you say?"

"Oh, sure, it really is!" Rainbow Dash agreed as she couldn't believe in anything better aside from having her mother going with her during their visit in the real world.

"Why don't we find a house somewhere that we feel comfortable in?" Windy asked Rainbow, as she also wants to find a house to live in just for her and her daughter.

"This is brilliant!" Rainbow Dash agreed with excitement, flying in the air, liking the suggestion her mother has made. "I'm gonna find us a place just for me and you only, and nopony else!"

"Oh, how sweet..." Windy said in a flattering voice.

Back with Applejack and Pear Butter, they have already spotted a house, with a garage being behind it, unaware Rainbow Dash and her mother are approaching, too.

"Hmm, this looks like the perfect just for us!" Pear Butter clapped her hooves with excitement seeing a few plants curtains open inside the front window. "I'm sure you'd be okay with this right?"

"I could say "yes" on that." Applejack told her mother, agreeing with the house they picked, and the two started walking on the grass.

Pear Butter and Applejack walked towards the house, and the latter was walking behind Pear Butter. "Seems that nopony else is around and would mind letting us have this house." Appejack said, as they she walked up the stairs so that she can open the door for her and her mother.

"I don't think so!" Windy Whistles said, catching Applejack and Pear Butter reaching the house before they could, causing the latter to come down the stairs and approach her.

"Oh, got a problem, sugarcube?" Pear Butter asked Windy Whistles, giving her a smirk and already started having a frenemy relationship towards Windy Whistles.

"That house was for me and my daughter, not you and that daughter you have with you." Windy Whistles replied, giving a smirk right back at Pear Butter. "You better leave before I force you." She demanded.

Rainbow Dash was looking confused, beginning to see her mother and Applejack's mother get into an argument just as they meet each other for the first time in an unexpected way.

"Um, mom?" Applejack and Rainbow both asked, as they feel like both Windy and Pear Butter have a relationship much like they do. "I'm not really like what I'm seeing." Applejack said as she ran towards her mother and listen closer.

"We've been at this house first!" Pear Butter said, as she knows that first ponies reaching the house first come serve.

"Hmph, such words from the mother who has nothing on me." Windy Whistles imitated Pear Butter, going face-to-face with each other, having Rainbow and Applejack worried for them.

Applejack and Rainbow just felt so clueless, they didn't know what they should do.

"This is gonna be dangerous." Rainbow Dash told Applejack, as she felt like it was helpless for them to do anything to stop Windy Whistles and Pear Butter from arguing.

"Like you can do any better!" Pear Butter said, continuing her argument with Windy Whistles, never backing down. "You believe you are the better mother? Let me tell you something... I'm the best mother!"

"No way. I'm the best mother." Windy Whistles declared, considering herself as the best mother more in contrast with Pear Butter.

Applejack intervened, forcing her mother and Rainbow's mother back up a little from each other. "Could you both just stop?" Applejack asked the two mothers, as she has had enough with them arguing over everything.

"When we see each other again, you and me are gonna have a competition on who's the better mother around!" Windy Whistles told Pear Butter, waiting for the chance to see whether she or Applejack's mother is the better mother.

"Right back at you!" Pear Butter said, accepting Windy's offer. "Me and you, we're both friends and rivals."

Rainbow and Applejack looked shocked when they heard what Pear Butter said about her and Windy Whistles having both a friendly rival relationship with each other much like Rainbow and Applejack themselves.

"Wait, you don't mean...?" Applejack questioned Windy Whistles, looking nervous once more.

"Oh, yeah, I do! And everyone's gonna vote for me more against Pear Butter!" Windy Whistles told Applejack, feeling confident as Pear Butter is.

"See you around, Windy." Pear Butter told Windy Whistles, as she walked away from the others, and so did Windy Whistles, walking away from her daughter as well. "I can't wait and see myself as the winner." She said, dreaming that she gets the victory over Windy Whistles as the best mother in Equestria.

Applejack and Rainbow looked at each other, seeing the fact the competition with Pear Butter and Windy Whistles would grab attention all across Alabama.

"I guess we better get going, cowgirl." Rainbow Dash shrugged, not even having any other words to say, and tried to catch up with her mother.

Applejack said nothing and she ran so she can catch up with Pear Butter. Pear Butter and Windy Whistles, declaring themselves as friends and rivals, will bring huge attention to the citizens in Alabama. But who knows which one of the two is better? Nobody knows.
