So yes, in my own alternate universe headcanon of MLP crossed with Soul Calibur and my own story universe, King Sombra has risen from the dead... again. Though he is not his complete self. He was able to will himself back to life, but as a mutated malfested lich. Though he's still powerful, he'd rather not have history repeat itself a second or third time, and has instead decided to wait in a cursed castle hall somewhere far away until the right moment to strike. Meanwhile, he spends his time harvesting the souls of those who dare to trespass on his territory. He plans to harvest enough poor souls until his full body is restored and then some, and only at that time will he take his revenge upon Equestria, and the purple alicorn princess with her friends who so thoroughly obliterated him last time...
