Galicia is a young Hippogriff from Griffinstone and the daughter of Gallus and Silverstream. She's also the older sister of Lil' Gruff. She was named after a Hippogriff her mother used to babysit.

A few years before Galicia and Lil' Gruff were born, specifically, when their father was assigned for the job of a royal guard in Canterlot, Gallus and Grandpa Gruff got into a huge fight that led them not to talk with each other. The two Griffons never spoke for nearly four years. Gallus spent that period of time focusing on his job and trying his hardest not to think about his guardian (with no success), much to the worry of his friends and his girlfriend, Silverstream, until one day, Gallus remembered the day of their fight. He started wondering how the elder was doing and decided to take a few weeks off work to pay a visit to Griffinstone. A lot had changed since Gallus had been gone. The Griffons were more friendly towards one another (although there were a few who were still pretty nasty), the streets were cleaner than he remembered, and the houses were better built. Gallus met many of his old friends, such as Gabby and Gilda. With their help, he found Grandpa Gruff sitting with his friends. Not much had changed about him; his ears, eyebrows, fur and edge of feathers and tail had very slightly greyed on the tips, there were deep bags under his eyes, and his torso was a bit more skinny. Gallus called out Grandpa Gruff's name, trying to sound as important as possible, which made the elder turn around. Grandpa Gruff didn't recognise Gallus until he squinted his eyes a bit to clarify his vision. He removed Gallus' helmet and dropped it as he looked at Gallus' face. The two Griffons found themselves smiling and staring at each other, although Grandpa Gruff felt extremely guilty about what had happened years ago. Still, Gallus hopping on Grandpa Gruff, and hugging him tightly, using both claws and wings was a sign of forgiveness, much to the Griffon's relief. The elder returned the hug, wrapping his wings and claws around Gallus, and started stroking the younger Griffon's back head side. The Griffons around them began to clap and cheer, some tearing up, some giving thumbs-up, and some others letting out a few "awww's" with their claws put on their chest.

After a while, Gallus found the courage to propose to Silverstream and, ironically enough, Spike did the same with Gabby, roughly around the same time. The girls reacted with pure joy, both crashing their fiancés with hugs and kisses. They all decided to have a double wedding, which took place in Mount Aris.

A few months later, Silverstream and Gabby were pregnant (Silverstream was pregnant for a second time; Galicia was only a few years old)! They were both squeeing about how they were expecting babies and kept squeeing, while Gallus and Spike's jaws were on the floor. The two had many uncertainties and believed they wouldn't be good enough to be fathers (and Gallus didn't expect to have another baby), but with some encouragement from their beloved consorts, they put away the doubts and decided to enjoy every moment of this. Silverstream gave birth to two Griffon-Hippogriff hybrids, a few years apart. She affectionately referred to her children as "GriffGriffs" because, as fledglings, they were small, fluffy, and downright adorable! Gallus thought that was a pretty dumb way to call their kids, but went along with it because he loves his wife and because it was the coolest sounding name they had found (better than "Hippogriffon", at least).

The oldest one was a healthy girl that, according to Gallus, was as beautiful as her mother. Silverstream liked manes and Griffon tails, so she was happy that her daughter had those. After spending a few days without the kid being properly named, Silverstream decided to name her daughter "Galicia", which was the name of a Hippogriff she used to babysit (who was also the ring bearer in her wedding).

Galicia has mostly inherited her father's traits but has a fair amount of her mother's too. She prefers to stay chill when facing a problem and not pry too much. Though having inherited Silverstream's optimism and excitement, she sometimes has no concept of inside voice and will needlessly shout while talking. When Lil' Gruff had arrived, Galicia had been worried that this meant she was no longer special, but after spending some time with her new baby brother, they became inseparable and the best of siblings. Lil' Gruff was just as energetic as she was; only he was little and was flying uncontrollably all over the place. It had surprised everyone that he looked like his parents when the case had not been for his sister (outside of her silhouette, bangs, eye color, and wings). Galicia sees herself as a reasonable and responsible older sister and cousin, but her brother and the triplets don't completely agree on that, as when she tries to act like a responsible sister, she ends up acting bossily and rather annoying ("Big sis, sometimes, reminds me of mommy when she asks where the chocolate cookies are, and I respond that I've never heard of chocolate cookies."). She may not spend time with her honorary cousins as much as Lil' Gruff, but, overall, they love playing with her. Appearance-wise, she looks rather similar to her mother, but personality-wise, she's mostly a daddy's girl than a momma's girl, which usually leads to Grandpa Gruff constantly commenting on how much she reminds him of her father as an adolescent, much to Gallus' embarrassment ("The girl's pretty sassy. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree, huh, boy?" - "Shut up, Gramps…"). After all, the elder never skips the chance to embarrass the two of his grandchildren to his great-grandchildren, ("I assume that the loudest one must be your father." - "Let me guess, your mother breaks the most vases in the house."). The teenage girl may be a Hippogriff, but her wings are actually part-Griffony-part-Hippogriffony, having long primaries, being designed for altitude, and giving her more secondaries to give her lift to counter dynamic winds, like those of Griffinstone, just like her dad. Galicia and her family don't really have a stable house, for they go back and forth to Mount Aris and Griffinstone. Still, Gallus and Silverstream are planning to have a house between the territories of the two towns to be closer to their homes. Although she spends most of her time in Griffinstone, she really likes going to Mount Aris cause she loves seeing Auntie Sky and Uncle Terry (that's what she and Lil' Gruff call Princess Skystar and Terramar). Just like Silverstream, Galicia and her brother also have transformation necklaces so they can visit Seaquestria (Gallus, Grandpa Gruff, and Gabby have too, though they don't use them as much). But, since she's used to being on land, much like Lil' Gruff, she hardly wears it.
