New comic strip of the Calvin and Hobbes parody! This was the original.
This time, instead of adapting the original strip to the MLP characters and call it a day, I wanted to give it some texture to make it feel more like a real comic strip. The previous comic strip was too bland texture-wise, so I wanted textures.
What I did was, after editing the whole comic, I compiled all the layers into one layer. Then, I picked two textures (one paper texture and one black texture). The paper texture will be in another mode for all the white in the comic strip, and the black texture for all the panel limits, scratches and characters in normal mode at 50% opacity. I think this process will be key for the making of the next comic strips. I have more ideas for this parody.
Starlight's expression she has in the last panel was based on another Calvin and Hobbes comic strip (right in the third panel).
