“Edana? Flurry and I weren’t expecting your visit. Is Crescent here as well?”

“May I talk to you, please…? It’s… It’s important…”

Prince Crescent was the first one Edana opened up to about her real background and heritage, but before she could go and make amends with her family, there was one other creature she had to confess her true identity to. Edana was awkward around Empress Monsoon Blossom ever since meeting her, but no one was concerned about it enough to question why. Not that they could have ever really anticipated Edana actually being Monsoon’s half-sister of all things.

Crescent urges her to tell Monsoon the truth, and the entire conversation is about as awkward and emotional as you can probably imagine, and it sends poor Monsoon into a bit of a spiral to learn her mother has not only been free from her prison all these years, but also has a new life for herself that Monsoon has no part of.
