This time, we have my first piece of artwork related to G5 which was inspired by a scene from a fanfic I recently read called "Craving Closeness." That being said, without spoiling the whole story, I will provide just a little bit of context for this art:

After experiencing some troubling encounters, pop star Princess Pipp Petals seeks out her mother, Queen Haven, and older sister, Zipp Storm for solace and comfort.

Overall, I am very pleased with how this piece came together. Considering this was my very first attempt at creating something for the latest generation of MLP content, I am happy with how I was able to mimic the overall look of the characters from the movie in my own style of art. I wanted to really play up the emotions conveyed through this scene, so I did my best to ensure that the lighting and shading was as prevalent and believable as possible, which I think turned out pretty good. As soon as I read this scene from the story, the vision for this piece immediately popped into my head and I knew I had to make something to commemorate such a tragic yet heartfelt story.
