“Jumpin’ Jehoshaphat.” It was all that Applejack could say the moment she saw her.

“About time you got here,” Rainbow Dash greeted with a heavy breath. “Can’t you see I’m starving?” With a slower drawl to her voice, it was a bit hard to pick up if that was meant to be a joke or not. Judging by the current state of her physique, it really could’ve been taken either way.
\
After what felt like only a few weeks since she and AJ last met up, it was quite jarring to actually see her in person again. With her seemingly endless weight gain now spreading out over her tightening clothes and spilling out onto her bedroom floor, Rainbow went from being a star athlete in the big leagues to a mascot for a fast food franchise.
\
But Applejack knew she shouldn’t be one to judge. After all, she was over 630 pounds herself. She wasn’t even possessed by any sort of magical force anymore. She’s just been a little too indulgent lately. Too much eating and too little exercise, it seemed like.
\
At the very least, she could still say she was the most athletic in the room.
\
“So are you just gonna stand there gawking at me, or are you gonna bring the food over?” Rainbow loudly huffed, wondering why her friend looked so lost in thought with her mouth agape.
\
“Right, sorry,” Applejack shook her head before finally entering the room. “Just didn’t know what I was expectin’ when you said you were literally 900 pounds now,” she explained as she walked over to Rainbow, dragging along an ice chest full of food.
\
“Actually, I’m 930. That was yesterday, though,” Rainbow shrugged. “I probably already gained another couple of pounds. Guess that means I finally got your highest weight beat, huh?”
\
“Well, you keep this up, you might start givin’ Sunset a run for her money,” the cowgirl remarked, still not over the amount of space Rainbow was now taking up. “How you holdin’ up anyway? You don’t exactly look like you havin’ a good time right now.”
\
“That’s cause this job sucks,” Rainbow rolled her eyes as she began to mope. “Sure, it gives me something to do while I’m stuck here. But I’m just sitting on my fat butt all day, answering phone calls, checking online orders. Ugh, so done with this.”
\
“Ain’t that what your last job was?”
\
“Yeah. But at the store, at least I had my co-workers to talk to. Plus, I actually had a desk to work at instead of having to use my… my boobs!” Rainbow explained, almost hesitating as she gestured towards the laptop in front of her, which indeed was pressed into the cleavage of her hefty breasts.
\
Applejack would’ve laughed if she hadn’t been in a similar position not too long ago. So instead, she tried to reassure her. “Well, if you ever need someone to talk to or make the job a little less painful, we’re all here for you.”
\
“Thanks,” Rainbow said with a half-smile. “Just wish I didn’t get so bored easily.” A thunderous growl suddenly sent off from within the depths of her massive gut. “Or hungry. How much food did you bring, by the way?”
\
“Oh, it’s just whatever leftovers I could put together.” Applejack pulled the ice chest closer to Rainbow, opening it up to reveal its contents, ranging from day-old apple treats to half-filled food containers.

“Is that all?”
\
“Could’ve gotten more food ready if you asked me sooner.”
\
“Whatever,” Rainbow muttered as she reached down and grabbed a slightly-stale fritter. “I’m just trying not to spend so much of my pay on food deliveries.”
\
“Well, I’ll do whatever I can to help you out. Oh, and I’m sure Pinkie could help too if you asked her. How else do you think we’ve been fillin’ up Sunset? That girl’s gettin’ as big as a barn!” Applejack chuckled.
\
“Uh, thanks,” Rainbow replied before biting into half of the fitter. “But I don’t know if I should ask Pinkie Pie right now. She’s been a bit of bummer lately.”
\
“Rainbow!” AJ scolded, sounding like a mother chastising her child.
\
“What?” Rainbow retorted, quickly swallowing her food as she answered. “I just mean she’s got a lot of personal stuff going on. So I don’t know if she’d be up for it.”
\
“Pinkie just needs some encouragement, alright? She’d really appreciate it if you asked.”
\
“Alright, I’ll ask her later then. But for now…” Rainbow stuffed the rest of the fitter into her greedy mouth before reaching for the next. “It’s lunchtime!”
