Legends speaks of the legendary River Serpent inhabiting the treacherous waters of the Everfree River. Even after its confirmed sighting (and allegedly, interaction) by the Elements of Harmony, little is known about this magnificent beast, who for eons lay dormant deep in the watery abyss of the savage river. What is widespread known is that the leftover scales – seldomly found beached near the river bank – of this beast are valued for its strength and beauty, that it is used in the crafting of the most expensive, best accessories known to ponykind. Attempts to gather in it bulk has failed however, as the unpredictable tides, powerful torrents – and as the famous Daring Do claims to see: spikes erupting from the river – of the Everfree river often claims the life of the unfortunate soul who wish to harvest its riches.

Today however, the Everfree River suddenly becomes quiet. After since a moon beam misfire from Dark’s keep destroyed the springs that fed the river, no longer has it become savage – nor does the occasional sighting of Magnet’s scales appear again. Nopony knows what happened to the River Serpent, but it is feared that the beautiful serpent is back to exact revenge for the ravaging of his home.
