BUMP!

“Hey, careful back there!” Twilight glanced back as Rainbow’s tush collided with her own.

“Sorry about that,” Rainbow tried to say through her stuffed mouth, “Getting kinda hard to keep track of how big I’m getting back there.”

“Yeah, I know what you mean. I must’ve gained about 50 pounds by now!” Twilight said before shoveling another forkful of food into her hungry maw. “I bought this sundress just for the trip, and now I’m already outgrowing it before the week is even up.”

“Same here! Good thing Pinkie’s keeping that one crazy chef distracted.” Tossing a few mini cupcakes into her mouth, Rainbow continued. “How is this even happening anyway? Why are we so hungry? Is the food spiked or something?”

Choking down her food, Twilight elaborated on her own theory. “Well, I was thinking,” she stuffed in another mouthful of cheesecake before continuing, “Remember when they announced that severe weather warning during the first night here. They said some kind of king-sized storm was supposed to happen, but it just came and went in about an hour.

“Yeah? What of it?”

“Well, this might sound crazy but what if the energy released from that storm caused all this? What if it somehow strengthened the magic that’s already causing us to gain weight?”

“Well, it better stop soon!” Rainbow snapped as she reached for the parfaits. “These are the only clothes I brought with me!”

“If it’s affecting us this badly, I can only imagine what Sunset’s-”

Before Twilight could finish her thought or even her meal, the two hefty young ladies were abruptly interrupted by a familiar voice. “Sacré bleu! You’re eating my food!” Chef Puffed Pastry yelled out before angrily charging into the dining room.

“It’s the chef! Save yourself!” Rainbow shouted as she and Twilight began to run (or waddle).
