Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon and Auntie Lofty and Aunt Holiday are all celebrating lesbian pride! They are My Little Pony's gay couples, and they're happy to find their love even if they're the same sex.

Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon (also known as Sweetie Drops) are My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's famous super-tight besties. And since the Brony fandom, the popular homosexual lovers. For a long time we always imagined them as a couple (while I always thought they were a homosocial couple), and there would be artwork of these two having very intimate moments. Eventually, Hasbro saw our fanart of the two at their most romantic, and finally decided to make it official, and by the end of the series, Lyra and Bon Bon proposed to each other and got hitched sometime after the villains were defeated. Those two are just meant for each other, despite the adversities and despite Bon Bon's secret history as a monster-hunting agent.

Scootaloo's two aunts, Auntie Lofty and Aunt Holiday, on the other hand or hoof in this case, became the show's canon lesbian couple before Lyra and Bon Bon's romantic relationship was confirmed. Until they finally appeared on the show in season 9, this happy couple wasn't made known until a chapter book series and the comics (and their designs were quite different than they are now). Nonetheless, they remained the show's de facto female homosexual couple.

To all who are lesbians, love doesn't tell us which sexual identity is the one to be. Not all women should fall in love with men or visa versa. Love guides us to the one we love, regardless of sex and gender. And despite conservative society, politics, and religion's hatred towards homosexuality, don't let them make you feel like you're not a woman but a deviant sinner who will be damned for eternity because you are not like them. You are as human as they are, and all you want is to live a good and happy life. We all do. Don't be ashamed for not being straight, be proud for being gay. Be proud for loving other women. Be proud for being yourself for who you truly are.

After I made Curly Wind and Wiz Kid's vectors, I was intent on having them included with Lyra and Bon Bon and Aunt Holiday and Auntie Lofty in a gay pride pic. However, I faced complications. At first I was sure I would have this ready before today, but then I decided to make new vectors of Lyra and Bon Bon, and then I had bigger issues with their tails covering most of the other couples. So I spent all morning tweaking all of this, and by the time I was ready to hit the hay, I managed to make it work. Unfortunately, I didn't work on the description. Then, just when I thought about uploading it in the evening, I had another idea: separate the female gay couples from the male with a lesbian pride project for the former and a gay men pride project for the latter. This of course resulted in me working on the backgrounds and have me post them earlier than usual.
