I was curious about generations previous to Friendship is Magic; before then, all I really knew was that there were pony toys, which I liked playing with and braiding the manes and tails of as a kid. So I recently started watching the 80s cartoon. 

I think my favorite of the ponies is Fizzy; I love her color scheme. The gems in her eyes kinda weirded me out, though; I feel like that looks a lot less freaky on a toy than on a cartoon character. Thinking about that and also this long, awesome fanfic that combines G1 and G4 (it's called A Mighty Demon Slayer Grooms some Ponies, for those curious) that explained the origin of the twinkle-eyed ponies, somehow this happened.
