Orange Gacha 3 - Vedalia
This is the third orange gacha for "Kalimoo-Art":https://www.deviantart.com/kalimoo-art! I really enjoyed drawing a changeling (even though they take some work) so I wanted to do another one 🙂 (why do I default to blue color palettes for your designs Kali? :> ) Her name comes from a type of ladybug!

Small background note I believe changelings operate kind of like ponies in which Queen Chrysalis is the over all ruler of all changelings but they have separate colonies which can be headed by another changeling leader like how Celestia and Luna rule all of Equestria but places like ponyville or manehatten can have mayors.

    Vedalia wasn't apart of Queen Chrysalis' personal colony but they all followed under her strict rules. They were taught as soon as they could understand that the only way to survive was to forcibly and underhandedly feed off the love of other creatures as they would always be rejected from Equin society. Before Chrysalis was forced into hiding, Vedalia was good at mediating, she was her colony's main advisor and mediator. She managed who went out, when, and how they disguised themselves as she used her superb research skills and observant nature to plan out food gatherings. Though she wasn't always comfortable with what she had to do, Vedalia knew that this was the only way they would survive without being eliminated by the creatures they were feeding off of.



    After Chrysalis' colony was overthrown there was general mayhem and unrest in the changeling society, their way of life was all they knew but suddenly there was a new way they could live, who would of though that the citizens of Equestria could show love to creatures that looked so hideous and survived by taking an essential part of a pony's life force? It took time for all the colonies to accept the change King Thorax brought with him, though some chose to leave and hide away refusing to relinquish the life they had known. Vedalia was lucky enough to have a colony that welcomed the change with nearly non-existent civil unrest. With this new alliance and friendship with Equestria's citizens, the need arose for reformed changelings to step out into society and become ambassadors among Equestria in order to put to rest the fear that still lingered among the country.



    It was when this need arose that Thorax specifically picked out Vedalia to become an ambassador for Canterlot to mainly help bring about knowledge and peace to those races that existed _outside_ of Equestria due to her skills in mediating and being able to quickly pick up on the traditions, habits, and diplomacy of other species despite her younger age. So now she resides in Canterlot and spends a lot of time among the public and visiting dignitaries. She still faces quite a bit of prejudice and fear but she handles it all with grace and won't let anyone step all over her or degrade the work her kind is making to become better people. In her time serving as an ambassador, she's met many different kinds of creatures but one such meeting stood out among the rest.



    When the Kirin dignitaries were visiting from Neighpon, she found herself quite enamored with the dignitaries' son who had come on the trip to begin his own work as a peace bringer between the countries. He was passionate about bringing peace to the world and ending the fighting between the warring countries just as Vedalia was wanted the different races to come together and understand each other despite their differences, she truly believed that with love and friendship was how everyone should be treated. It was over the course of the kirin's stay that the two grew ever closer over their passion about world piece and their love a trying new cuisine as before their home places had pretty limited food options. When their visit came to an end, Kazuki requested to remain in Equestria as a permanent ambassador and to remain closer to Vedalia.
