History: Also known as Colonel Gustav Adam Taube’s Dragoon Regiment. The regiment was set up between 1703 and 1704 and consisted of 600 men, of which many came from the Verden Dragoon Regiment and the rest were recruited in Silesia, a historical region of Central Europe mostly in Poland, with small parts in the Czech Republic and Germany. They participated in the Battle of Posen in 1704 and the Battle of Grodno in 1706. In 1709, the regiment also took part in the Battles of Oposhnya, Krasnokutsk and Poltava. After Poltava, they were captured by the Russians.
