In Discord’s pocket chaos dimension he was lonely, one of his first uses of chaos magic was creating his very own “friend” / pet, this was before he mastered his magic, on his first try Bane was a little goofy. Nonverbal but still cuddly and intelligent.

After Discord left his dimension he was fucking <span class="caps">THRILLED</span> that birds exist. Guess what his favorite animal is?

Bane’s part of the Twicord Family, like a uncle of sorts. Twilight warmed up to him, but is still unnerved by how smart he is.

he has a special unique ability to absorb magic and turn it into food. comes in handy (Not actually, i headcanon Draconnequus not needing to eat food to survive <span class="caps">BUT</span> Discord just likes to for the hell of it.)
