Glyphmarks backstory. part 1.

Was originally to be combinded with her character chart.

A character chart where I failed to mention that she is not from this time. And that the source of her linguistic skills and mastery of Palaeography (mastery of ancient languages) came from first hand sources.

Our story gets even more flashbacks. As these wacky tales of weird adventures all seemed to tie together. This time we turn back the time to the Origin stories of Glyph and Grim, and their first chance meeting. All starting with a Tour guide taking the wrong turn through the ruins, losing his flock of tourists, and ended up falling through the floor.

Though their story might start there, in modern times. The story of Glyps earlier life might be both a short one, and a long one, depending on how out think about it.

A reeeeeeeeealy lone one, if you think about it.

Having heard miveras tragic tale. Glyph begun to spin her own story, finally understanding how these manny series of events correlated. And just what miniscule chanses could have led it all to be lost forever.

It chills one to the core, to think about just how thin threads the fate of people and the world hang by.

“I never saw the outside world as a child. I was trained since birth by the loremasters of my time. I was told that outside the walls of my temple, the evil clan of the starskattery was destroying all that was. I was told that they had made a pact with the dark stars, and sought nothing but the eradication of all. They worshipped the shadow and the darkness, who wanted to consume all light.

In my temple. I was kept safe from the evil of the world, so that their spies and assassins could not get to me. I was looked after by servants, and trained in the art of combat and spellcasting.

I never saw manny faces growin up. My world consisted of my masters, my trainers and my books. The skills and knowledge that I would need to combat the Starskatteri, and the demons they worshiped. I was always reminded of my duty, for I was to be their final weapon agains the darkness.

My tribed valued all knolege, even that of our enemy. For while others fought the growin dread with hate and contempt, our loremasters knew that to beat our enemy we must know them. They studdied even the cursed knolegde of the starskatteri, and their forbidden laungage. They used it aginst them, more effectevly then all others. But at a terrible cost.

The war destroyed bouth out civilications. Yet the Starskatteri woed that the darkness would return. In shadows their masters would sleep, and wait for a time when the world had forgotten.

In return. The Loremasters sent the final awnser. Me. To sleep in waiting for the day when the darkness would return. A final weapon to strike back at the enemy in their weakened state, and rid them from the world once and for all.

For this crime … The crime of dabbling in the forbidden arts, my people too was destroyed by the other tribes, and their knolegde, seen as tainted and heretical, was destroyed…”
