Description:
The Doc is in, and she’ll fix you up
If you’re a toy, than you’re in luck
It’s okay, don’t be afraid
The Doc really knows her stuff :aww:
I’m just in LOVE with that theme song. :) My gosh, China Anne McClain lent her voice to an AMAZING theme song. Ten times better than the one for her own Disney show “ANT Farm”. :XD: Doc McStuffins is one of the biggest reasons why Disney Junior is my MAIN channel on a daily basis. :icondisney-junior: :giggle:
:star::iconreadplz::iconarrowrightplz: If anyone recalls back on May 1st when I posted my first ever ‘Proud Family’ fanart in tribute to the guest speaker at my African Women’s Studies class that day [link].
:bulletpurple: Well, today I was doing a presentation for ‘Black Women in the Medical Field’.
And guess what reason I chose THAT subject…
YES! DOC MCSTUFFINS, PEOPLE! :w00t:
:bulletpink:Today, I spoke my heart out about the importance of the show, followed by the how there are rarely many African-American female doctors in the U.S., and also stating how Disney Junior’s popular show reaches out to the colored community, especially to little African-American girls, telling them to DREAM BIG.
That any girl can become a Doc McStuffins. :) [link]
I was so proud of my presentation, and my teacher was so impressed by it, completely in awe by a show she wished she had seen when SHE was a little girl. I know a number of you even REFUSE to pay Disney Junior a second glance, but the show is that inspiring, and I’m proud to call myself a fan of such.
I was just SO happy with my presentation, I started sketching THIS while we were waiting for class to be over. I was just SO overwhelmed with happiness that as soon as I got home, I worked TIRELESSLY on this, determined to post it on the day I did my presentation that made more girls my age decide to give Disney Junior a try. :)
This was also encouraged by a conversation I had with :iconask-kaalai-m: who told me how she started watching the show after seeing my first ever Doc picture.
:bulletblue: [link] Pretty different from what I made now, huh? :XD:
:bulletyellow:Anyway, she LOVES Niles. He’s that toy crane up there, and he had his own episode called “Wrap It Up”, which is why his crane is fit with bandages. He is SO adorable, and his voice is SO cute, he’s even cuter than one of the main characters…and she’s a cuddly lamb!
And wanting to draw Doc taking care of a new patient…this gave me the opportunity to draw Smarty Pants! Imagine what her personality would be like once Doc’s ‘magic’ gave her life as with any toy. :XD: :iconsmartypantsplz:
Anyway, I’m just so happy I got to do my presentation and speaking about one of many shows that I simply adore.
Thank you, Disney Junior. And thank you, Doc. :aww:
