*Pear Butter Cooking*

The sun was beginning to set as Pear Butter woke up from a nap. She was feeling quite heavy today. It was no surprise considering she was close to giving birth to her first child. Her belly had gotten a bit bigger than expected. It inspired one of the names she thought of. Since she got so big she thought maybe they should call their first child, if it’s a boy, Big Macintosh. Like the apple. Bright Mac laughed when she told him that.

For the last couple of weeks Pear Butter had been having Bright Mac do a lot of things for her. Tie her shoes, massage her feet, painted her toenails, and even get takeout from several restaurants. Pear Butter got to thinking. She felt rather bad about putting him through all that. “Maybe I should give him a break.” She then got to thinking. What would be good? “I know! Make him his favorite food!” She looked around for a few things to throw together in a stew. Some carrots, potato cubes, and some barley. She turned on the stove and the little flame burst out from under the top and began warming up the pan she chose. As she stirred up the stew she hummed a lovely melody and smiled.

That was when Bright Mac came in from the orchard. He took off his hat and wiped the sweat from his brow. He then saw his wife and smiled at what he saw. Her light green dress with flowers on it stretched around her body and showed off her new curves. “Hey there, Buttercup.” said Bright Mac. That got Pear Butter’s attention and she looked over to her husband. His checking her out and then winking at her made her cheeks turn red. “Bright Mac, stop! Yer makin’ me blush.” Bright Mac smiled. “Ah can’t help it. Ya look so beautiful.”
