Rainbow Dash

In this alt verse Dash is a unicorn with a passion for jousting. Her long, elegant horn is well known in the jousting scene and she’s one of the fastest ponies on land. Her idols are the Wonderbolts, Equestria’s calvary and most famous jousting team.

Dash’s special talent involves the acceleration of time around herself and sometimes others. When she casts her fast-forward spell she moves at speeds that threaten to break the sound barrier, and occasionally she does. When at her fastest Dash leaves a glittering rainbow trailing behind her.

Dash uses her incredible speed in her jousting matches by rushing her opponent and attacking before they can react.

Pinkie Pie

Yeah, yeah I know, short Pinkie. But I went really short, she’s a miniature pony, very small. She isn’t fast, short legs and all, so she often climbs up on other pony’s backs for easy transport. Around Ponyville everyone knows her so most don’t mine when she hitches a ride. Except Cranky Doodle Donkey, he too grump for piggy backs.

Pinkie of course has weird magic, with her Pinkie Sense and all, but she’s particularly talented at teleportation and summoning. She summons things seemingly out of thin air, anything from cakes to other ponies. Ponies are often a little dizzy from being teleported so suddenly.

Baking is a breeze with unicorn magic, she can bake pies without lifting a hoof. She prefers to stand on the counter with the mixing bowl however, gotta keep an eye on the batter and she certainly can’t do that from the floor.

Twilight Sparkle

Twilight is a magically gifted pegasus and protege to Princess Celestia. She’s big on flight safety and refuses to go past the recommended speed limit. Despite not flying very fast Twilight’s mane appears windswept, but since it’s out of her face she doesn’t do very much to style it.

There is no school for gifted fliers and Twilight takes issue with this, feeling pegasi magical education should be seen just as important as unicorn. She’s brought it up to Celestia on occasion but the princess simply replies that there is no one to teach the classes, run the board, or fund the school. Twilight hasn’t given up though.

Anyway of course she’s been sent to Ponyville to oversee the Summer Sun Celebration right? And ‘make friends’, whatever. What’s more important is the possible return of Nightmare Moon, an evil pony of ancient lore. No one is taking her seriously however, not even her mentor Celestia it seems.

Her only support comes from her assistant and little brother Spike. He’s a baby constellation creature, most likely Draco considering his appearance. Together they can achieve anything.

Applejack

Applejack is a humble cloud famer in the skies, producing and tending to nimbus clouds. Her work is important, as her little nimbus clouds grow up to be large nimbostratus and cumulonimbus clouds. Perfect rain clouds for quenching the farmland below.

Why is her name still Applejack? Because the farms she lives over grow apples! Her family has been working together with the earthies below for hundreds of years, and Equestria’s best apples are the result of their farming and her precious rain.

Rarity

Rarity still has an eye for fashion, but she doesn’t have the fine motor skills to create dresses like her canon counterpart. Rarity instead focuses on finding and gathering various precious stones to sell to ponies in the garment district. Her lovely gems are the highlight to any designer’s outfit. The secret to her lustrous gems? She cuts them herself. See Rarity might not be able to thread a needle, but she uses her craftsmen skills in other ways.

Despite her chosen occupation which involves trudging through caves and mineshafts, she still dislikes being dirty and will meticulously clean herself after a hard day’s work.

Fluttershy

Yeah so Fluttershy hasn’t changed all too much, I honestly feel she’d do well as any pony race. She cares for her animals and doesn’t feel limited in the slightest by her lack of wings or horn. If anything she feels more capable than her canon counterpart, as she is not expected to fly or perform spells. The weight of those expectations for her simply don’t exist in this world. Many wonder how she alone tends to so many animals, but all it takes is a little love.

Notes: Can’t do shit with Fluttershy, she’s too okay with everything. Bitch almost joined a cult.
