I’m so late to this trend, but aaaaanyways, here are my redesigns/ g5 designs of the mane 6!

This is kind of how i imagine the season 5 story would be:

The mane six, a group of friends that travel across Equestria in a journey to find adventures, and new friends along the way!

Twilight Sparkle: She woke up one morning in Ponyville as a filly, with all her previous memories gone. She had a pacific life, living in the Ponyville library as an astronomer until a book about “The elements of harmony” those who could open the door to the Alicorns realm, rang a bell in her, she felt connected to them, so she decided to embark on a journey to find them.

Applejack: A farmer with a simple life that lives in her family orchard, Sweet Apple Acres, well at least it was simple before the orchard got sick with a disease that killed almost all the apple trees. Now she has to go away from her family to find more trees to bring back her farm to its former glory.

Rainbow Dash: Flash Dash, or her more recognized nickname “Rainbow Dash” is a stunt performer in Cloudsdale. She wanted to expand her fanbase, so now she travels Equestria showing off her spectacle.

Pinkie Pie: Twilights friend since fillyhood, she is always there to cheer who needs it!. She is the adopted daughter of the Cakes, the best bakers in Ponyville. Before she was adopted, she had a friend in the orphanage, who she considered her sister, Maud, but they haven’t seen each other since they were adopted coincidentally on the same day. She joined Twilight in her journey in hopes of seeing Maud again.

Rarity: A socialite in Canterlot the city of unicorns, who has an eye for beauty, literally! Her eyes can see the beauty in everything, and the purity of ponies hearts. She loves the commodities and attention of Canterlot, but there is so much more out there, so much beauty unseen!

Fluttershy: She had always lived in the Everfree forest, she doesn’t know exactly what she is or how she got there, but she is happy with her forest friends, the animals she take care of. She has never took a hoof outside the forest…but she would like to know more about herself, maybe one day she will come out of her shy cocoon?

So yeah, Twilight is an earth pony (or who knows ;) ), AJ is one too, Rainbow and Pinkie are pegasus, Rarity is a pure unicorn, and Fluttershy is actually a flutterpony! (a little callback to the first seasons) she just hasn’t “metamorphosed” into one yet.
